The Commercial Opportunity Dataset provides a structured, verified catalog of commercial software build opportunities across real-world industries and core business workflows. Each entry represents a recurrent operational pain point experienced by small-to-midsize businesses that can be solved using custom software, integrations, and intelligent agents built with Claude Code.
Unlike generic AI marketplaces that aggregate speculative ideas, every record in this dataset is evaluated against real-world buyer willingness-to-pay, operational friction, and technical implementation feasibility.
2. The Zero-Synthetic Promise
FluentPathways strictly prohibits synthetic row generation, bulk template filling, or AI-generated opportunity inflation. Every single opportunity in our dataset foundation:
- Is hand-authored by experienced software product researchers
- Features industry-specific buyer language and operational triggers
- Includes verified problem evidence backed by public primary sources
- Contains explicit deliverable boundaries and risk disclosures
If an entry could survive by simply replacing the industry name, it is rejected during audit.

To ensure complete research integrity, FluentPathways strictly separates Problem & Demand Evidence (which validates customer pain and workflow friction) from Direct Market Pricing Evidence. Unverified service fee ranges are never falsely labeled as "verified" merely because an underlying problem statistic has a primary source.

All records operate under a strict 90-day review cadence. Numerical pricing recommendations undergo continuous field research. Until two independent public market-price observations or transparent cost derivations support a specific range, pricing is classified as an experimental editorial recommendation and excluded from calculator calculations.
